Ajax Brand Guide Introduction

Thank you for using the Ajax Brand Guide. As Ajax Metal Forming Solutions continues to grow, we’ve placed increased focus on how our brand is represented—both within the metal forming industry and across the broader manufacturing community. A consistent, well-defined brand ensures that every interaction reflects the quality, precision, and reliability our customers expect.

Our brand is more than a logo—it’s a reflection of our people, our capabilities, and our commitment to delivering tight-tolerance metal parts on time and to print. This guide is designed to provide clear standards for presenting Ajax with consistency across all platforms, including digital, print, trade shows, and customer communications.

In 2023, Ajax refined its visual identity to better align with the company’s evolution. This included building upon the 2017 ownership transition and formally removing “E.J.” from the brand name, reinforcing a simplified and forward-looking identity. The update also introduced a more modern visual system that reflects our continued expansion—new facilities, advanced technologies, and growing capabilities across multiple locations.

Logotype Usage

The following sections outline the approved Ajax logotype treatments for both digital and print applications. Logos may be used with or without the tagline; however, the tagline is preferred whenever space allows, as it reinforces our value proposition and brand positioning.

By following these guidelines, we ensure that Ajax presents a unified, professional image—one that reflects the strength of our organization today and the direction we’re headed tomorrow.

If you want to elevate this even further, a nice next step is adding a “Voice & Tone” section (how Ajax should sound in copy—confident, precise, no fluff). That’s usually what turns a good brand guide into a really useful one for marketing and sales.

Voice & Tone

The Ajax voice reflects who we are as a company—experienced, reliable, and solutions-focused. Whether we’re speaking to OEM engineers, procurement teams, or industry partners, our communication should consistently convey clarity, confidence, and technical credibility.

Our Voice

Confident, Not Arrogant
We speak with authority based on decades of experience and proven capabilities—but never overstate or exaggerate. Our expertise should come through naturally.

Clear & Direct
We value precision not only in our parts, but in our language. Avoid jargon when possible, and communicate in a way that is easy to understand and actionable.

Technical, Yet Accessible
We are experts in metal forming, but we don’t overwhelm. We explain processes and capabilities in a way that resonates with both engineers and business decision-makers.

Solutions-Oriented
We focus on outcomes. Rather than simply listing capabilities, we emphasize how Ajax solves problems—faster lead times, tighter tolerances, and dependable delivery.

Professional & Respectful
Every interaction should reflect professionalism, collaboration, and respect—for our customers, partners, and team members.

Our Tone

Tone may shift slightly depending on the audience or platform, but it should always stay within the Ajax voice.

Scenario Tone Guidance
Website Copy Informative, structured, and benefit-driven. Focus on clarity, SEO alignment, and customer value.
Sales Materials Confident and persuasive, with emphasis on capabilities, differentiators, and results.
LinkedIn / Social Media Professional but approachable. Slightly more conversational while maintaining credibility.
Customer Communications Direct, helpful, and responsive. Prioritize clarity and problem-solving.
Trade Shows / Marketing Campaigns Engaging and concise. Lead with impact while staying grounded in real capabilities.

Writing Guidelines

Do:

  • Use active voice (“Ajax delivers,” not “Parts are delivered by Ajax”)
  • Lead with benefits, then support with capabilities
  • Keep sentences concise and purposeful
  • Use industry terminology where it adds clarity
  • Reinforce key differentiators: precision, speed, scalability, partnership

Avoid:

  • Overly casual or slang language
  • Buzzwords without substance (“world-class,” “cutting-edge” without proof)
  • Long, complex sentences that dilute the message
  • Overuse of acronyms without explanation
  • Generic claims that could apply to any manufacturer

Example: Before & After

Before:
Ajax offers a wide variety of metal forming services for many different industries.

After:
Ajax delivers precision metal stamping and fabrication solutions that help OEMs reduce lead times, control costs, and scale production with confidence.

By maintaining a consistent voice and tone, Ajax strengthens its brand across every touchpoint—ensuring that our messaging reflects the same level of quality and precision as the parts we produce.

ISO Certificates of Registration

ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016

ISO Certificates and Standards - What Great Looks Like

“Registration and certification according to ISO standards elevates our company to the next level of advanced manufacturing,” said Ajax Vice President of Operations Brandon Holmes. “We already have the skilled workforce and the capital equipment needed to succeed. By achieving these quality standards, we can pursue very high-level manufacturing assignments.”

ISO Certificates of Registration 9001:2015 and 13485:2016 are awarded based on a number of quality management principles, including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach, and continual improvement.

To become registered and certified to these standards, Ajax first established an internal audit team to establish quality methods and procedures, evaluate and recommend enterprise-class quality management software, and implement internal audits. Ajax then commissioned Mark Durivage of Quality Systems Compliance to assist in quality management documentation and related preparation. Finally, Eagle Certification Group was commissioned by Ajax to conduct the company’s audits and registration services.
