ISO 9001:2015 CertificationWe take quality seriously at Ajax. It shows in the numbers.
Ajax became an ISO 9001:2008 registered company in 2014, then subsequently an ISO 9001:2015 company in 2016. Following that, the Ajax registration was renewed again in September of 2020. These are very important steps in the company’s growth.
“World-class OEMs demand ISO certification from their manufacturing partners,” said Ajax Vice President of Sales DOn Wellman. “ISO management systems and standards help us prevent non-compliance. We’re adding to the certifications that we’ve earned so far to enable Ajax to reach new markets.”
The ISO 9000 family provides guidance and tools for companies like Ajax who want to ensure that their products and services consistently meet customer’s requirements and that quality is consistently improved.
“ISO certification elevates our company to the next level of advanced manufacturing excellence,” said Ajax Production Manager Brandon Holmes. “We already have the skilled workforce and the capital equipment needed to succeed. With the addition of ISO certification, we can pursue very high-level manufacturing assignments.”
ISO 9001:2015 is the only standard in the ISO family that a company can become certified to. This standard is based on a number of quality management principles, including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach and continual improvement.
To become certified, Ajax performed extensive internal audits to check how well the company’s quality management system was working. Eden Solutions, a division of European ISO consulting firm IMSM, was commissioned by Ajax to implement an ISO Quality Management System as part of the company’s preparation for ISO certification.
